“Fai looks really happy here,” Yuui smiled, content to see his twin indulging in happiness.

“Yes, we are excited to have you join us next month too, Yuui-sensei.” The headmistress returned the gentle smile as she sipped on the red wine.

Yuui had always been the more observant twin; he could always read Fai’s mind without the need for words. Whilst happy to see Fai getting along with his colleagues so well, more specifically the dark-haired gym teacher, Yuui knew there was something deeper straight away.

From the way his twin teased the taller man with all-too-cute nicknames, the way the blonde made natural body contact with Kurogane like second nature, and the way the gym teacher would brush Fai off; Yuui was certain they were more than colleagues.

“Yuuko-sensei, could you tell me a bit more about the school?”

Despite wanting to catch up with his brother, Yuui felt it was best for Fai and his most likely to be lover, Kurogane, to work things out first. The twins had always been inseparable, but the last thing Yuui wanted was for his presence to disrupt his dear brother’s love life.

Being equally observant, the headmistress’ lips quirked up into a knowing grin, “Of course, would you like to try more of Watanuki’s snacks?” She offered a plate to Yuui, “They are the perfect complement to your delicious red wine.”

The blonde gladly accepted her invitation, “Thank you.”

“Yuuiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii,” Fai purred as he hugged his beloved brother from behind, “Do you want to join me and Kuro-pin-sensei for some sake?”

“Sorry Fai,” Yuui turned to look at his mirror image as he put a hand on Fai’s, “Yuuko-sensei has already invited me to join her. Maybe next time.” A brilliant smile lit up Yuui’s beautiful features.

The tall man standing behind the pair of blondes suddenly realized the shocking accuracy of the clue given by the manjuus earlier. They were the same but not the same.

Now… which one was the angel, which one the devil? This thought brought Kurogane an inward grin.

“Aww…maybe next time then,” Fai straightened his back, arms still loosely encircling Yuui’s shoulders, “Do you know the way to your room?”

“I’ll be okay, Fai,” Yuui reassured his protective brother, “Have fun!”

Fai turned to seek Kurogane’s approval in the form of the steadiness of ruby eyes, “Okay then, good night Yuui, good night Yuuko-sensei.” The chemist waved at the two, and the gym teacher acknowledged them with a nod.

“Yuui-sensei, do you see what I meant about the fun?” Yuuko poured another glass of the fruity red liquid for them.

“I will most definitely enjoy being here,” Yuui chuckled lightly to himself.

After two bottles of sake, three bottles of vodka, and fifteen cans of beer, the teachers finally sat still on the floor, leaning against the sofa and each other.

“Kuro-pon, honestly, how did you know it wasn’t me?” Amused half-lidded sapphire orbs accompanied the chemist’s intrigued question, “Was it really the buttons?”

“He didn’t have an idiotic aura around him,” the gym teacher smirked as the blonde whined against his left shoulder.

“Kuro-myu is so mean!” The unbelievably huge volume of alcohol brought a rosy tint to flushed ivory cheeks. Fai closed his eyes as he nuzzled his warm cheeks into Kurogane’s broad shoulder.

“And,” A large hand supported Fai’s head on the other side as Kurogane shifted, lowering his head to the smooth skin of his lover’s neck and pecking the purple mark prominently contrasting against the paleness, “I’m pretty sure I marked you last night.”

Fai could feel a devilish grin growing on Kurogane’s lips. The drunken science teacher inhaled sharply; alcohol made him a lot more sensitive to Kurogane’s touches. The tanned man trailed kisses along Fai’s jaw line, licking his earlobe seductively as he breathed into his ear, “To make it easier, guess I’ll just have to leave more marks on you.” Fai gasped as his lover sucked lightly at the tender skin.

With aching hips and limping the morning after, no one would have trouble telling Fai-sensei and Yuui-sensei apart.

This is just a short ficlet begging to be written XDDD
The drama has left me giggling so much!! Especially when Fai purred to his big puppy, “Nee~ shinjide yo~~~~” (“Come on~ believe me~~~~~”, 2:43 of the youtube clip XDD)!
Horitsuba 3 is just so full of KuroFai goodness. *giggles* Don’t you think Kuro-tan-sensei paid a little too much attention to Fai’s buttons anyway? *grin* And why did he only respond when Fai offered to bring alcohol to HIS room? XDDDDDDD *shot*

It was hard enough to keep his mask in place having gone so long without feeding; being watched constantly by that penetrating crimson gaze certainly doesn’t help.

“Fai-san…” the princess’ eyes were filled with worry, holding the silent white puffball in her arms.

“Don’t worry, my Princess,” the frail mage forced a smile, “I’m just tired. I’ll be ok in the morning.” The pale figure made his way to
the bedroom he shared with Kurogane, closing the door behind him.

The ninja’s eyes closed in annoyance and sighed.

“It’s getting late. You kids should go to bed,” the inevitable has finally occurred.

The last thing Kurogane wanted to see after the shock in Acid Tokyo was for his make-shift family to fall apart. He could see it
coming, although there was nothing more he could have done to stop it from happening.

Fai laid still on his bed with his slender forearm over his forehead, trying to will away the burning feeling in his empty stomach. How pathetic, he thought, a hopeless smile crawling onto his dry lips.

He heard two soft clicks, one within seconds of the other, accompanied by a brief ray of light entering the dark room.

“I don’t need your blood.” The mage knew it was Kurogane without even looking. Only he cared enough to interfere, but he cared too much. Far too much.

The taller man walked towards Fai’s bed without a word.

Suddenly, Fai could feel the mattress around him slumped due to the additional weight. He opened his lone blue eye to find himself trapped between Kurogane’s strong arms and the mattress, their faces merely inches apart.

“I said, I don’t need your blood,” Fai warned in an icy tone, but the stubborn ninja did not move.

“Is that so?”

Before Fai could blink, Kurogane’s lips have crushed onto his in a demanding kiss. The magician was shocked, even more so as the darker man deepened the kiss and invaded his mouth with his tongue.

Fai moaned in pain, pushing his hands against Kurogane’s chest, in attempt to fight him off. There was no way he could beat Kurogane’s strength, especially when he’s so weak and vulnerable.

After a few long minutes, the invasive kiss was broken as the two gasped for air.

Determined crimson eyes locked with azure, but Fai couldn’t see any signs of lust in Kurogane’s eyes. Why did he just do that?

“Get off me.” Fai was still breathless from the kiss.

Instead of doing what he was told, Kurogane lowered his head and started attacking Fai’s pale neck, licking and kissing the soft skin, earning more painful moans from the helpless mage beneath him.

Weak hands were still pushing against his shoulder and chest.

“You could fight back, you know,” Kurogane whispered next to Fai’s ear before he licked the delicate earlobe. He knew that was one of Fai’s weak spots from their distant nights in Yama. The strained mage gasped, half in pleasure, half in self-hatred.

“But I don’t think you have the strength to,” the ninja continued to plant kisses along Fai’s jaw line before making a purple mark on his white neck. Fai winced in pain.

He couldn’t take it anymore. His conscience was telling him to retaliate, yet his heart was crying out to him to give in to the man he loves.

His lips were almost touching the tanned man’s exposed neck, he could feel his prey’s steady pulse within his reach.

That was it. Fai slipped the hand pushing against Kurogane’s shoulder under his arm, moving to his back, whilst the other hand remained on his toned chest. The vampire’s sharp fangs emerged against his will. He moved his head up and sank his fangs into his prey’s flesh.

Hazed sapphire was replaced by brilliant gold as his warm life source dripped down his dry throat, his vampiric instincts have taken over.

As if expected, Kurogane pressed his body more firmly against Fai and held him tight, as he continued to distract the vampiric mage with soft kisses on his cheek and neck. A satisfied smile lifted the corners of Kurogane’s lips, he has finally made the mage feed on his blood.

By the time Fai’s senses returned, he has already drank far more than he would have allowed himself to. He pushed Kurogane and stared at the non-resistant man with disbelief, before regaining his cold golden stare and licked his lips for the every drop of his prey’s precious blood.

“You could have force-fed me using a different way,” Fai smirked, disgusted by his companion’s actions, “you didn’t have to toy with me like that.” Do you have any idea how hard it is to keep my heart away from you?

Kurogane’s expression didn’t change, “I didn’t save you so you could starve yourself to death,” he pressed against his mage again, putting his arms around his slender frame. Damn it mage, don’t say things that you don’t mean…

“I chose to keep you alive, so it’s MY responsibility to keep you alive,” their lips met again. This time, Kurogane could feel Fai soften with his gentle kiss.

It has been a long time since they’ve had any intimate contact, the dimensions after Yama have prevented them from doing so. Fai had kept his distance in Piffle when they have encountered Tomoyo, the girl that shared a soul with Kurogane’s princess. They did not have the opportunity to get close in subsequent dimensions, and things have taken a turn for the worse in Acid Tokyo.

“If you don’t like it, tell me and I’ll stop,” kissing the mage’s forehand gently. Kurogane has always been affectionate and gentle toward his now-distant lover, even when Fai’s attitude towards him has taken a U-turn.

Fai didn’t refuse his kisses anymore. His body began to relax under Kurogane’s touches, longing for his love.

Kurogane unbuttoned Fai’s black shirt with one hand, keeping the other around Fai’s slender waist. Calloused fingers caressed the smooth ivory skin on Fai’s chest, warming to his touch.

Sitting up momentarily to remove his own top, Kurogane bent down again to trail wet kisses from Fai’s neck down to his chest, sucking lightly on his pink nipples as a small moan finally escaped Fai’s lips. He could feel Fai reacting to him as a bulge in Fai’s trousers pressed against his leg.

His right hand brushed from Fai’s side down to his waistline, unbuttoning and pulling down his trousers to free his strained erection.

Fai’s cheeks were flushed, taking rapid shallow breathes as Kurogane’s mouth engulfed his length, his tongue moving in a way that teased and pleasured him, reliving memories of making sweet love to this man in Yama; the dimension where body language did all the talking; where it was so much harder to lie about ones true feelings.

Long pale fingers involuntarily found themselves entangled in spiky black hair, silently encouraging his lover to do more. Fai could feel the pressure mounting in his lower abdomen as Kurogane sucked and licked his member.

“Ah…” the suppressed moan stimulated Kurogane’s senses even further as he swallowed several drops of salty liquid beading on the tip of Fai’s cock.

The ninja raised his hand to Fai’s lips. It was the signal for Fai to slicker Kurogane’s fingers in preparation.

Fai took two of Kurogane’s fingers into his mouth, his tongue dancing around them as Kurogane quickened his pace, his head bobbing backward and forward.

He withdrew two slick fingers from Fai’s surprisingly eager mouth, slid one into Fai’s tight passage, rewarded by a gasp. Fai’s grip on Kurogane’s hair tightened as he tensed.

The skilled finger made shallow thrusts in different angles, searching for Fai’s sweet spot.

“Ah!” the mage writhed in ecstasy. He could feel Kurogane’s smirk around his aching member.

A passionate kiss initiated their ride to ecstasy as Kurogane thrusted into Fai. A sheen has formed as passion warmed their skin, the dark room became filled with moans and gasps, and inaudible sweet murmurs into Fai’s ear.

“Ah…Ah…” Fai could no longer hold in his moans as they acquired a steady rhythm, the sweet noise was music to Kurogane’s ears, making him pound even harder into his love.

Their tongues danced together, exploring each other’s mouths after such a long period apart, the rusty taste of blood lingering on their tongues.

A few more intense thrusts sent Fai over the edge, covering their abdomens in a stream of milky warm liquid, his body going limp as Kurogane shortly followed, pumping his seeds into Fai; easing the friction of the final impacts.

Kurogane collapsed on top of the smaller man as he placed a comforting kiss on those parted lips. Fai extended his arm on Kurogane’s back, hugging him gently. Their fingers were still laced together.

After a few moments, Kurogane rolled onto his side next to his mage, pulling a blanket over them, holding him close to his heart.

Long, tanned digits entwined strands of gold, his thumb brushing lovingly over Fai’s ear. He knows Fai loves his affectionate side.
Their breathing steadied as Kurogane pulled Fai closer and pushed his head into his chest. Fai attempted to put his mask back in place, but failed miserably as he inhaled his lover’s unique scent. It made him feel safe…and belonged.

“Sleep,” Kurogane said softly, pecking the mage’s forehead lightly before tucking Fai’s head under his chin.

It was impossible for Fai to push him away. Not now. He has yearned for his love ever since they’ve met at the Dimensional Witch’s place. But if he doesn’t do it soon, Kurogane would end up getting hurt. His misfortune would hurt the one he loves.

Fai surrendered to Kurogane’s warmth, his steady breathing has lulled Fai to sleep. He has never felt so safe before. He would only feel safe around Kurogane.

It has been a long time since Fai has had some peaceful sleep. He woke up in Kurogane’s arms, unwilling to accept his conscious decision to move away, once again, from him.

Fai lifted his hand and touched Kurogane’s cheek lovingly, planted a feather-light kiss on the sleeping ninja’s lips, as his heart writhed in pain.

“…I’m sorry…Kuro-sama…I don’t deserve you…” it was no more than a whisper, accompanied by a painful, genuine, heartbreakingly sad smile on the mage’s lips before he reluctantly wriggled out of his lover’s arms. He quickly picked up his clothes from the floor, putting them on before making his way out of the room.

Crimson eyes opened after the door clicked close. Kurogane sighed, his hand touching the mattress where his mage laid moments ago, absorbing his lingering warmth.

“…Just when will you understand?” What does it take for you to know you are loved? I love you, stupid mage. You’re not worthless. Open your heart…

So~ this is my first fanfic in English, hope it’s not too bad m(_ _)m And I hope they’re in-character orz I’ve always pictured Kuro-sama as an affectionate closet-softie XDD
This is inspired by Inma-sama’s doujinshi Blood Lust, about Fai refusing his first meal! I think Fai would struggle to keep Kuro-sama away yet it would be even harder for him to resist! Thank you CLAMP for leaving Fai’s first meal a blank LOL *shot*
